Swatched & Ready

Hello all - hope you're having a great last day of the year!

Here's to more great knitting adventures in 2007.

I have swatched for my CPH today, finally. I'm using Karabella Aurora 8 in a blue that I'm just in love with. I would love to know everyone's take on the ribbing. The pattern calls for doing the ribbing in needles 2 sizes smaller than those for the main body. Looking at the completed sweater in the magazine, I find it hard to believe they did that, because the rib does not pull in much at all. Would love to hear what others are doing.

Glad to be aboard!

I did use needles that were 2 sizes smaller but when I went to block, I blocked everything to the correct size before seaming so the sweaters (I made 3) did not pull in at all! I used Tahki Donegal Tweed for all 3 and that yarn blocks beautifully. I do like your choice for yarn - so very soft!

Hi, I had to go up a needle size on the ribbing. I did not want the ribbing pulling in and that's what it was doing for me with a size 6. I'm using Cestari 2-ply from Chester Farms. Got distracted by other projects but I will return soon w/more photos of my CPH. -jen

I did not use a smaller needle size for the ribbing because I like a looser fit and find it more flattering. I'm using Cascade Quattro in raspberry.
