No Wool

Hi,

I am looking to knit this in something that is not wool. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would also like this to be machine washable and dryable.

Thanks,

Carol

The CPH could be made using virtually any aran/worsted weight yarn. Some examples: Lion's Cotton Ease, Caron Simply Soft or One Pound, Lion's Vanna's Choice, Bernat Denimstyle, Mission Falls 1824 Cotton, Knit Picks' Shine Worsted or Main Line or CotLin, Red Heart Soft, Berroco Comfort...

A few with some wool content: Plymouth Encore, Lion Wool-Ease, Patons Decor, Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece...

Really, almost any worsted/aran weight yarn will work. In fact, almost any weight would work if you're willing to do a little math! :-) Hope that helps.

I'm knitting this is Caron Simply Soft Tweed.

I even got gauge both ways the first time out with this stuff and I love the feel of it as it has that 4% rayon content (which also gives it a nice sheen)

Hope you find something you like!

My sister and I are both knitting this in Lion Brand Wool-Ease - a wool/acrylic blend. It's making a nice fabric, and it's machine washable!! (And it's cheap!)

Good luck!

Do you have a Ravelry account?
If so, you can check out what others have used. I do that before chosing yarn for my projects if I'm not using the recommended yarn. Good luck?\!
