Closing in on the Finish Line

Thanks to Jill for letting me know that I haven't posted here for a while. This is the current progress on my CPH - despite the number of setbacks (which you can read about on my blog), I'm still enjoying this project.

This is my fifth time picking up for the ribbing. I'm not too discouraged, since this is my first button band. I'm using this project as a learning tool - first time kitchenering the hood, first time doing short-row shoulders, first time doing a multi-cabled sweater, etc.

Here are some other pictures of my work. I'm very proud to have come so far in this CPH, and it's because you have inspired me.

Your CPH is looking wonderful!! I love how the cable looks running up the hood.

DId you kitchner the hood? It looks invisible.

How are you liking the beaverslide for this project?

I've been neglecting my CPH. I'm ready to start shaping the upper part of the sleeves, still haven't kitchenered the hood.

Are you going to do buttons, toggles or a zipper? Or nothing, as some have done?

Hi Freda,

Thanks for the compliment!

To answer your questions, I did Kitchener the hood. I really wanted that invisible look.

I will add 3 buttons to my cardigan - and instead of the directions in the pattern I will be doing the one-row buttonhole http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/advanced_techniques/

I've really enjoyed the Beaverslide for this project - it's a tough, sturdy yarn that is not scratchy against the skin.

How have you liked working with the Beaverslide yarn?
