I chose Beaverslide's Traditional Fisherman's weight, in Alpine Fir. It was either this color or this one. That was my hardest decision. I like the way it's turning out in the Alpine Fir. I'm using Knitpicks needles, US 7. My gauge is 4.25 stitches to the inch. I'm making the size medium and the gauge difference will ensure a good fit on my frame. I would have normally made the size large as I like roomier cardigans.
I also made a 2 inch ribbing instead of the 4. I'm short, and I didn't think the recommended ribbing would look as nice on me.

Glad you could join us. This is my first KAL as well and I'm having a great time seeing everyone's different adjustments and yarn choices. I see how you had a hard time choosing the color;)

I had a hard time chosing from among the Beaverslide colors, too. I like your choice.

Did you do a swatch? If so did your row gauge change significantly after washing?
I did do a swatch, but I did not wash it. I don't have easy access to a washing machine. I'm not worried too much about the row gauge since this is a cardigan and extra length might be a good thing. I like your Sweet Grass CPH-it shows the cabling nicely :-)

What a great colour! The cables are looking beautiful.
I didn't use a washing machine for my swatch. I just soaked it in a bowl of lukewarm water for about 20 minutes, then laid it on a towel to dry. Before soaking my swatch was 6 rows per inch. After it dried it was a good 7 rows per inch. Cara at January One used the Beaverslide wool/mohair yarn and had the same happen to her swatch. I am knitting more length into my CPH to accomodate this shrinkage. You might want to wet and dry your swatch to see if the same thing happens to your yarn if you plan to wash your sweater.
