Can't Wait to Get Started

Let me introduce myself--I'm Elizabeth. I love knitting and have knit since I was a kid. My grandmothers taught me at a very early age. One picked and one threw, and I ended up throwing--much to the dismay of my picking grandma. I had hoped to have the CPH on the needles by now but the storm here in Seattle left our house powerless for four days and there wasn't a lot of knitting to be done as I tried to keep the "technology-less" (their words, not mine) kids entertained. So I struck on a golden idea--I have all these skeins of yarn to wind before I can start and so . . .

I put the oldest to work winding the yarn. So now I have all the yarn wound and when I get the family that is about to arrive for Christmas headed back to their respective homes, I'm going to start knitting! I can't wait. Please keep posting, because I love seeing everyone else's colors and progress.

I had to put in a shot of the yarn. It is such gorgeous stuff!
