Couldn't Resist the CPH

I bought Moda Dea Silk 'n Wool in Sangria for my Central Park Hoodie rendition. (It's a dark color & very difficult to capture in a photo. Sorry about that.)
I am combing the smallest size Back with the next size up Front to get the measurement I want and the majority of the sizing on the front side. This will accomodate my smaller frame with my larger than average cup size. I got the idea from my years of sewing experience alongside sweater attempts that resulted in "baggy in all the wrong places" finished products. I have 8" pictured here on the Back View. I'll knit it up to the 14" in order for the Fronts & Back pieces to match.
I decided obviously not to knit-in-the-round. I felt that this yarn was pretty hefty & my wrists are already sore from the weight of my Puff Sleeved Cardi. This yarn has a pretty sheen (my current obsession) and is very soft, yet it holds stitches crisply. I think that this will be a fast knit for me as it is an easily memorized pattern & pretty mindless. I am knitting away here.

This cardigan has been on my "To-Knit-List" for nearly a year, it take a bit of time for my to find the right yarn for this project.

But last month, Knit Picks finally offered a few knitters from the UK the chance to order yarn, included in my order was some Wool of the Andes in Arctic Pool (a demin blue colour).

Even though, I have several other projects on the needles, I had to test this yarn and knitted up a quick tension square last night, I can't wait to get knitting.

About Variegated Yarn (for Shameka)

Hi, Shameka,

In the comments I saw that you had questions about using variegated yarn on the CPH. I chose variegated yarn for mine and that's what has caused the delay in knitting it (and yes, I am the Administrator of this KAL *blushing from shame*).

To give you an idea of what happens or what to consider, please refer to my posts on the original CPH KAL (from when it was run by Christy):

The post includes photos and there are a few other posts there featuring my color experiments that may help you decide. My solution so far is to knit the fronts and backs as all one piece on a circular and let the pooling fall where it may. That would work, but it won't result in the color shift that I liked so well when I knit the back only. If I were brave, I suppose I could attempt to knit the fronts as one piece and steek it to achieve the same pooling pattern.

Like I said, I'm still working this out in my mind and I think I'm going to buy a solid yarn for my first one. Let us know what you figure out!
